09/21/2026 – An Owasso man was arrested early Monday morning after police say he led officers on a lengthy motorcycle pursuit through Owasso, Tulsa and Rogers counties.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on September 21, an Owasso Police officer attempted to stop a motorcycle near East 126th Street North and Garnett Road for a traffic violation. Police said the rider slowed almost to a stop before accelerating through the traffic signal. The motorcycle’s license plate was reportedly bent upward, preventing it from being read from behind.
The pursuit continued along several county roads in Rogers County before returning to Tulsa County and heading south on U.S. Highway 169. The chase then traveled west on Interstate 244 through downtown Tulsa and onto U.S. Highway 412.
According to police, the rider made several erratic turns onto 49th West Avenue, Skelly Drive and the Gilcrease Expressway before exiting onto Charles Page Boulevard between Tulsa and Sand Springs. The rider eventually slowed, stopped and surrendered to pursuing officers.
Police identified the suspect as 37-year-old Gary Don Youngblood of Owasso. He was transported to the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of:

Eluding police in a manner that endangered others — felony

Driving with a revoked license — misdemeanor

Possession of marijuana without a medical card — misdemeanor

Improper license tag — misdemeanor
Police said other traffic violations were incorporated into the felony eluding complaint.
Investigators contacted the motorcycle’s owner and confirmed it had reportedly been stolen in Tulsa. However, the owner declined to file an official stolen-vehicle report. The motorcycle was impounded, and Youngblood did not face an additional charge related to its possession.
Police said speeds reached approximately 120 mph on U.S. 169, where traffic was described as extremely light. All charges are accusations, and the suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
