Tulsa Police arrested two people and cited two others after officers say a group stole nearly $1,500 worth of merchandise — much of it meat — from a Tulsa Sam’s Club.
At approximately 7 p.m. on August 10, 2026, Tulsa Police officers responded to a larceny in progress at the Sam’s Club near 44th Street and Sheridan Road.
Store employees told police that a group entered the store, stole nearly $1,500 worth of merchandise and left in a maroon Dodge Ram.
According to police, surveillance video showed 24-year-old Benjamin Rice loading more than $1,100 worth of packaged raw meat into a bag before leaving the store and getting into the truck, which was reportedly driven by 43-year-old Derek Smith.
Police said two other individuals, 50-year-old Amy Lamb and 65-year-old Kenneth Finney, stole separate items valued at approximately $300 before also getting into the truck.
Officers arrived as the truck was turning northbound onto Sheridan Road. Police said the suspects immediately yielded to officers’ lights and sirens and pulled into a nearby parking lot.
Everyone inside the truck was ordered out and taken into custody. Officers recovered the stolen meat, which was returned to Sam’s Club.
Rice and Smith were arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of Grand Larceny. Lamb and Finney were cited for Larceny and released.
The allegations are accusations, and arrests are not convictions.
