09/24/2026 — Owasso residents will see an increase in their monthly utility bills beginning Thursday, October 1, 2026.

The City of Owasso announced that rates for water, sewer, refuse and stormwater services will increase by an average of approximately 3%.

For a typical household using 7,000 gallons of water per month and one refuse cart, the increase is expected to add approximately $3.81 per month to the household’s utility bill.

City officials say the rate adjustments are necessary to keep pace with increasing costs while continuing to maintain and improve Owasso’s utility systems.

Additional revenue generated by the rate increase will help fund necessary water and sewer infrastructure projects, rising material and labor expenses, equipment used to provide essential services, and increasing landfill and disposal fees.

According to the city, the adjustments are part of its effort to maintain reliable utility services while also planning for the long-term infrastructure needs of Owasso’s growing community.

The new rates take effect October 1.
