08/25/26 – A man accused of brutally attacking a Captain D’s restaurant manager with a baseball bat has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.
Nicholas Palmore pleaded guilty to assault and battery by means likely to produce death, maiming, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police said Palmore was a former employee of Captain D’s when he attacked restaurant manager Tiffiany Romine.
Tiffiany Romine was left with permanent injuries, and spent nearly 9 months in hospitals and rehab facilities before returning home.
According to investigators, Romine had asked Palmore to turn down his music. Palmore then went to his vehicle, retrieved a baseball bat and struck Romine in the head.
The attack left Romine with severe, permanent injuries. She spent nearly nine months in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities before she was finally able to return home.
Following the attack, police said Palmore fled the restaurant. He was later located at a home in Fort Gibson, where he was arrested without incident.
Palmore will now serve a 40-year prison sentence for the attack.
