Tulsa Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Thursday evening at Rozay’s Wingz near 51st Street North and Peoria.
Officers responded to the restaurant around 6:45 p.m. following reports of a disturbance involving a gun.
According to police, two men had been fighting in the parking lot when one of the men allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the other man in the foot. The victim then ran inside the business, with the suspected shooter following him.
When officers arrived, they reportedly gave the suspect commands to surrender. Police say the suspect instead fired two shots toward the officers.
Officers entered the business and again ordered the suspect to surrender. According to Tulsa Police, the suspect then pointed his gun toward officers, who fired in response.
The suspect was struck twice and transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
No other injuries were reported.
