Parents and caregivers are being urged to check their children’s toys following the recall of thousands of popular Squeezy Dumplings because of a potentially deadly ingestion hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on September 3, 2026, involving approximately 8,000 GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings toys sold online through Amazon.
What Do the Recalled Toys Look Like?
The Squeezy Dumplings are translucent, round squishy toys featuring cartoon faces. They contain glitter-like particles and water beads inside.
The toys were sold in tan plastic containers designed to resemble bamboo steamers. The removable packaging is labeled “SQUEEZY DUMPLINGS” and “SQUEEZE ME.”
There are no identifying markings directly on the toys.
Why Are They Dangerous?
The toys contain water beads, which can dramatically expand after being swallowed.
According to the CPSC, ingestion can lead to choking or an intestinal blockage and may cause severe discomfort, vomiting and dehydration. In serious cases, ingestion of water beads can be deadly.
Water beads can be particularly dangerous because they can continue expanding after entering a child’s body.
Where Were They Sold?
The recalled Squeezy Dumplings were sold on Amazon from May through June 2026 for approximately $20.
The toys were manufactured in China and sold by Chenyuanhui, doing business as Xiamen Liuhui Electric Technology Co., Ltd.
Approximately 8,000 toys are included in the recall.
No incidents or injuries involving these recalled toys have been reported.
What Should Parents Do?
Anyone who has one of the recalled toys should stop using it immediately and keep it away from children.
Consumers can receive a full refund from Chenyuanhui. To receive the refund, consumers will be asked to:
• Write “RECALLED” in permanent marker on both the Squeezy Dumpling and its tan plastic container.
• Dispose of the toy.
• Take a photo showing the disposed toy and container.
• Email the photo to GIHNJSI_recall@163.com.
The recall is listed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission as Recall No. 26-738.
Parents should also be aware that the CPSC has repeatedly warned about the dangers of water beads around young children. When swallowed, the beads can expand inside the body and cause serious internal injuries, intestinal obstruction and, in some cases, death.
