05/14/26 – Following the hail storm that swept through the area on May 8, the City of Owasso is stepping in to help residents with storm cleanup efforts. The city’s Refuse Division will provide special collection services for green storm debris, including tree branches and leaf debris, for residents living within city limits.
Storm debris collection will take place during regular yard waste pickup schedules beginning Monday, May 18, and continuing through Friday, May 29.
Residents are asked to follow a few guidelines to help crews efficiently collect debris:
- Tree limbs and brush must be tied in bundles no larger than 4 feet long and 2 feet in diameter.
- Bundles should be placed between the curb and sidewalk for pickup.
- Leaf debris can be placed in a red polycart or bagged for collection.
City officials encourage residents to prepare debris properly to help keep neighborhoods clean and safe following the storm damage.
For questions, residents can contact Public Works at 918-272-4959.
