5/19/26 – Two juvenile suspects were arrested early Tuesday morning after Owasso Police used a drone to help track them inside an apartment complex.

According to police, officers were called to the Greens Apartments around 2:15 a.m. on May 19 after a resident reported seeing two suspicious individuals dressed in black clothing, masks, and gloves allegedly checking vehicle door handles in the 13900 block of E. 83rd St. N.

Officers quickly established a perimeter around the apartment complex while a police drone was deployed overhead. Within minutes, the drone pilot located the two suspects in the 14300 block of E. 84th St. N., where they were reportedly seen continuing to check vehicle doors.

Police say the suspects appeared unaware they were being monitored by the drone. Officers were then guided to their location, and after a brief foot chase, both suspects were taken into custody.

Investigators determined the juveniles had entered multiple vehicles, stolen property, and damaged other vehicles while attempting to steal them.

The suspects, ages 13 and 15, were arrested on complaints of Theft from Motor Vehicles. Both were transported to the Community Intervention Center in Tulsa before later being released to their parents.
