The two operations resulted in the seizure of more than 12,000 marijuana plants and over 1,100 pounds of processed marijuana, according to OBN.
Hydro Planet – Tulsa
The first search warrant was served at Hydro Planet, located in the 1400 block of North 105th East Avenue in Tulsa.
OBN said the investigation involved alleged black-market marijuana transactions at the location, as well as marijuana reportedly being stored there without a valid OBN registration.
Agents seized approximately 1,003.4 pounds of processed marijuana.
Investigators also discovered what OBN described as illegal pesticides. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture seized those products under a separate search warrant.
One person found at the location was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for alleged immigration violations. OBN said additional arrests connected to the investigation are pending.
Assisting agencies included ICE, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma Army National Guard’s 63rd Civil Support Team.
Chen Wei Farm LLC – Rogers County
A second warrant was served the same day at Chen Wei Farm LLC, located in the 1500 block of North 168th East Avenue in Rogers County.
According to OBN, the warrant was connected to an investigation into marijuana allegedly being sourced for black-market transactions.
Authorities seized 12,307 marijuana plants and 111.4 pounds of processed marijuana.
Illegal pesticides were also reportedly discovered and seized by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture under a separate search warrant. Arrests related to that investigation are pending.
ICE, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Rogers County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma Army National Guard’s 63rd Civil Support Team assisted with the operation.
OBN Marijuana Enforcement Teams
OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Teams were created in 2021 to target domestic and transnational criminal organizations allegedly involved in black-market marijuana trafficking, money laundering and fraud within Oklahoma’s marijuana industry.
According to OBN, Oklahoma had approximately 8,400 marijuana farms operating with active OBN registrations at its peak in 2022. That number has since fallen to 1,299 actively registered grows.
Since early 2021, OBN says its Marijuana Enforcement Teams have seized more than 2.5 million illegal marijuana plants and 300,000 pounds of processed marijuana, while making more than 450 arrests. Numerous investigations remain ongoing, and additional arrests are pending.
