A three-vehicle collision in Creek County left four people injured Tuesday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 12:07 p.m. on May 26 at the intersection of State Highway 33 and State Highway 48.
Investigators say an 18-year-old Collinsville driver, identified as Lucas J. Thompson, was traveling westbound on SH 33 when he reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign. His vehicle struck a southbound vehicle driven by 68-year-old David A. Florence of Mannford in the side.
After the initial impact, Thompson’s vehicle continued westbound and collided head-on with a third vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign facing eastbound on SH 33. That vehicle was driven by 19-year-old Kallie G. Ward of Cushing.
OHP reported that Thompson was not injured in the crash. Florence and his passenger sustained injuries, along with Ward and her passenger. The extent of their injuries was not released.
All occupants involved were reportedly wearing seatbelts, and no fatalities were reported.
The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Jonathan Lipe #528 of Troop B with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
