Tulsa Police are asking for the public’s help after a 19-year-old was shot outside an event center early Sunday morning.
According to police, officers responded around 12:28 a.m. on August 30 to a reported shooting near 51st Street and Memorial Drive.
When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital. He is expected to recover.
Investigators spoke with several people who had been attending a party near where the shooting occurred. Witnesses told police that a fight had broken out in an alley next to the event center when a single gunshot was fired.
Police are now seeking additional information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or knows what led to the shooting.
