CHEROKEE COUNTY, Okla. — Four people were injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Oklahoma Highway 10 in Cherokee County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 7:44 p.m. on September 7 near OK Highway 10 and South Black Valley Road.
OHP reports that 21-year-old Emerson Thompson of Skiatook was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of Highway 10.
A second vehicle, driven by 39-year-old Megan Bostaph of Muskogee, was traveling westbound. According to the collision report, Bostaph attempted to avoid the oncoming vehicle but was struck in the westbound lane.
Thompson was injured in the crash.
Bostaph was also injured, along with both passengers in her vehicle. No fatalities were reported.
OHP indicated Thompson was wearing a seat belt. The report states that not all occupants of Bostaph’s vehicle were wearing seat belts.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
