Around 3pm on Thursday, Owasso Police attempted to stop a motorcycle that was traveling northbound near 76th Street on the east service road. Instead of pulling over, the rider reportedly decided to test his luck and sped off.
Unfortunately for him, it appears he wasn’t familiar with Owasso’s now-infamous “crash-out curve” near Taco Bell. The pursuit came to an abrupt end when the motorcycle crashed.
Taken into custody was 63-year-old John Roger Nichols of Texas. According to authorities, Nichols is wanted in Texas on warrants alleging aggravated child sexual assault and aggravated robbery. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before being booked into jail.
Safe to say… that curve has claimed another victim.
Great work by the Owasso Police Department in getting a wanted fugitive off the streets.
