This item is headed before the Owasso Planning Commission next week. The Community Development Department received an application for review and approval of a preliminary plat for 135th Subdivision No. 1, a proposed commercial subdivision… and yes, the developer IS listed as WinCo Foods. 👏
The property is located north of East 116th Street North and North 135th East Avenue. It’s zoned Commercial Shopping and falls within the US-169 Overlay District. Technically it has a Collinsville address, but it was annexed into Owasso city limits back in 2005.
The proposed plat includes 6 lots across 2 blocks.
Now listen… I LOVE WinCo. Bargain shopping is basically a personality trait at this point, and they consistently have some of the best prices on name brand groceries I’ve found. Plus, the 71st & Memorial location is open 24/7, which means Owasso could once again know the beauty of buying cereal at 2am. 🌙🛒
And honestly? Anything that keeps me from fighting Woodland Hills traffic is a win in my book. If we end up out that way, we usually stop there anyway.
If this all comes together, let’s hope the other 5 lots bring in some exciting new businesses Owasso actually needs too. 🤞
