09/03/2026 – Oklahomans now have another way to carry their identification — right on their iPhone or Apple Watch.
Eligible residents can now add their Oklahoma Driver License or State ID to Apple Wallet, providing a convenient, private and secure way to present identification or verify their age.
The digital ID can be used at participating businesses, organizations and select TSA checkpoints, as well as for certain online and in-app age or identity verification.
How to Get Started
Oklahomans can open the Apple Wallet app on their iPhone and follow the prompts to add their Oklahoma ID.

Don’t Leave Your Physical ID at Home Just Yet
While the new Apple Wallet option adds convenience, it does not completely replace a physical Driver License or State ID.
Oklahomans should continue carrying their physical ID for interactions with law enforcement and when visiting businesses or venues that require proof of age but do not yet accept an electronic Driver License or State ID.
As more businesses and organizations begin accepting digital identification, the new option gives Oklahoma residents another secure way to keep an important piece of identification close at hand.
