Rogers State University has been ranked No. 10 among public regional colleges in the West by U.S. News World Report for the second consecutive year.
Schools were categorized by mission and geographic region, with the West region spanning 15 states from Texas to California, as well as Alaska and Hawaii.
“This ranking is a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff,” said RSU President Dr. Don Raleigh. “Each year, more students choose RSU because of our commitment to academic excellence, accessibility, and affordability.” Affordability also boosted RSU’s standing in the Top Performers on Social Mobility category, which evaluates schools on enrolling and graduating Pell Grant recipients. RSU climbed three spots to rank No. 31. “The mission statement of our new strategic plan is ‘We impact lives through education,’ and this improved ranking reflects how RSU provides life-changing opportunities to students and families,” Raleigh added. Financial accessibility remains a key strength: 54% of RSU’s 2025 graduates left without student debt, and the RSU Foundation awarded a record $1.1 million in private scholarships over the past fiscal year. U.S. News calculates rankings using key academic quality indicators, including graduation and retention rates, peer assessments, student debt, student-faculty ratios, and faculty credentials. Rogers State University is a regional four-year university serving northeastern Oklahoma and the only four-year public residential university in the Tulsa metropolitan area.
