Two New York men are facing federal charges after a Tulsa County traffic stop led to the discovery of approximately 50 pounds of cocaine and $8,000 in cash inside a rental van.

According to court documents, Rohan Oriley Roye, 34, of New York City, and Andrew Joseph Hudson, 36, of New Rochelle, New York, were taken into custody on September 15, 2026. Both men are charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.

The investigation began when a Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a van for allegedly failing to maintain its lane. Roye, who was driving, provided the deputy with a New York driver’s license. During the stop, the deputy noticed another man, later identified as Hudson, lying on a mattress in the back of the van.

A K-9 conducted an open-air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle and alerted its handler several times.

During a subsequent search, deputies discovered a large duffle bag that Hudson had reportedly been using as a pillow. Inside were six tightly wrapped bricks consistent with packaging used to transport narcotics.

Deputies also located rubber-banded bundles of cash and contacted the DEA. According to court documents, a field test of the suspected drugs returned a positive result for cocaine HCL.

Authorities said the cocaine weighed approximately 50 pounds and had an estimated street value of up to $650,000.

Roye and Hudson have been federally charged in connection with the seizure.

The charges are allegations. An indictment is not a conviction, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
