Something spooky this way comes back to the Hill this week, with the return of Rogers State University’s annual Halloween tradition, Haunting on the Hill.
Rogers State University’s annual celebration of the Halloween season rises from the grave later this month with the return of Haunting on the Hill.
Scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Haunting on the Hill is RSU’s signature Halloween event. RSU students and community members alike are invited to the Hill for a weekend of spooky shenanigans. Admission is free, and the event is hosted by RSU’s Campus Activities Team (CAT).
The main attraction is a guided tour through historic Preparatory Hall, which will once again transform into three floors of thrills and chills. Each level features a distinct theme packed with frights and delights.
As in previous years, the terrifying tour begins in the basement. Visitors will work their way up to the top floor before finishing with a haunted elevator ride back to the ground level. The complete walkthrough takes about 15 minutes. While the event is family-friendly, it may not be suitable for very young children or those who scare easily.
Haunting on the Hill is entirely student-run — from decorating and guiding to scare acting. As one of RSU’s largest public events, it regularly welcomes more than 1,000 visitors each year.
