A boating accident on Keystone Lake in Pawnee County Saturday morning left a pontoon boat with significant damage but, fortunately, no one was injured.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. on July 25 near the lake’s north shore.
Authorities said a 2023 Napallo 22TL pontoon was traveling westbound when it struck an underwater concrete foundation, causing the vessel to come to an abrupt stop.
The boat was being operated by 42-year-old Erick F. Mendoza of Broken Arrow. Eight passengers were on board at the time of the accident, including:

- Margie Leanos, 57, of Tulsa
- Eli Negron, 12, of Tulsa
- Pedro Trinidad, 44, of Tulsa
- Griseldu Moreno, 46, of Broken Arrow
- Daniela Martinez-Moreno, 23, of Broken Arrow
- Jayln Mendoza, 19, of Tulsa
- Jaylah Culderon, 14, of Tulsa
The impact caused damage to the pontoon’s tritoon hulls. The vessel was later towed to the Old Keystone boat ramp by Jay Boat Tow Service.
No injuries were reported.
