Two motorcyclists were injured in a crash early Friday morning on Interstate 44 in Tulsa, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at approximately 12:49 a.m. on June 5, 2026, on westbound I-44 near the Harvard Avenue exit.
According to the preliminary investigation, an 18-year-old rider from Catoosa was traveling westbound in the middle lane of Interstate 44 on a motorcycle. A second motorcycle, operated by a 33-year-old Tulsa man, was traveling ahead of him in the same direction.
Investigators reported that the younger rider accelerated to a high rate of speed before striking the rear of the motorcycle in front of him.
Both riders sustained injuries in the collision. Neither rider was reported deceased, and no passengers were involved.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has notified next of kin. The crash remains under investigation.
