OWASSO, Okla. — One of Owasso’s favorite Independence Day traditions is back! The City of Owasso will host its annual Red, White & BOOM celebration on Saturday, July 4, offering an evening packed with live entertainment, family activities, food and a spectacular fireworks display.
The festivities begin with the Red, White & BOOM Preshow from 7 to 9 p.m. at Redbud Festival Park, located at 109 N. Main Street in downtown Owasso. The free event will feature something for the entire family, including live music, food trucks, lawn games, inflatables, face painting, balloon artists and the return of the popular Watermelon Eating Competition.
Headlining the evening’s entertainment is Oklahoma native and rising country artist Cole Phillips. Known for blending traditional country music with Red Dirt and rock influences, Phillips is expected to bring an energetic performance to the downtown stage.
The celebration will culminate at 9:30 p.m. when the annual Red, White & BOOM Fireworks Show lights up the Owasso sky. Fireworks will be launched from the Owasso Golf & Athletic Club, located south of East 86th Street North and North 129th East Avenue. The display can be viewed from numerous locations throughout the city, giving families plenty of opportunities to gather and enjoy the show.
Each year, Red, White & BOOM draws thousands of residents and visitors for an evening of patriotic celebration, making it one of northeast Oklahoma’s premier Fourth of July events.
Admission to the preshow and fireworks display is free and open to the public.
